Log homes are our history.
Log homes are an important part of the history and heritage of the Pacific Northwest. Logs are very popular for everything from small cabins to luxury log homes. Log homes and commercial log structures have been our specialty for thirty years.
We are of the assumption that anyone interested in building their own log home possesses that unique quality of wanting to do their own thing in an age of mass production. An age that is full of miraculous achievements, but void of originality and purpose for the two hands with which we were blessed.

Western International Logs are manufactured from carefully selected fir or cedar, depending on personal preference. Every one of our logs are precision machined by our exclusive process so they may be easily erected to form a strong structure lasting for generations. Your logs will be numbered and come with a detailed plan that provides simple instructions for where to place them.
Wood is one of nature's best insulators.
Tests have proven that log construction is far more economical to heat than conventional construction. Western International Logs, because of their scientific, yet natural characteristics have excellent noise absorbing qualities and create an absolutely draft free home.
The log style and design we are using originated in British Columbia more than thirty years ago and since that time numerous homes and buildings from this manufactured process have been erected throughout Western Canada, the United States, Europe and Japan.

Many people are starved for a small portion of nature in which to live their lives in harmony with the world around them. Once they have acquired their country setting, be it a lot or acreage, they are reluctant to subject the incredible work of nature to a a modern day nightmare they will call home. They want a structure that will settle right in and become a part of their surroundings.
People who stake their claim in the country are usually at a loss to know what type of home will best suit.
The answer of course is a log house! A LOG HOME IS NATURE. Every tree that goes into the construction of that home will have possessed its own life, and the scars of that life will be daily reminders of the closeness of nature and the uniqueness of the home YOU dreamed of.
The construction of your log home affords you the chance to be creative and an artist in your own right. In times to come, you will remember each log, the ease with which you wedged it into place, or the healthy struggle and laughs you had with a friend when "you set the log in the wrong place". Only log homes have that inviting natural smell which can only come from the resin and sap contained in each log.
You cannot buy that smell and you cannot duplicate the natural cozy atmosphere of a log home.
